Located on Old Street at the epicentre of London’s innovation scene, the Lab brings together the brightest start-ups and the most forward-looking corporations to drive new thinking and solutions.

WHAT IS THE DRUGSTORE RETAIL LAB?

Created and operated by Publicis Worldwide and The Trampery, the Drugstore Retail Lab is a new co-working space that houses an elite group of start-ups in retail. Members of the lab will benefit from:

» Tailored introductions and pitch opportunities to senior executives from the world’s largest retailers in Publicis Worldwide’s global network.

» Mentoring opportunities with industry figures, plus support and guidance from brand strategists at Publicis Worldwide.

» A tailored incubation programme including specialist speakers & workshops.

WHAT IS THE MEMBERSHIP OFFER?

Membership of Drugstore Retail Lab is designed to cater to the unique needs of start-up businesses. We provide a host of services for one all-inclusive monthly fee, allowing you and your team to focus on what you do best.

» £450/month (ex VAT) per desk.

» 500 Mbps symmetric internet connection

» Rolling monthly licence agreement with a one month notice period.

» All other facilities & utilities included in this price.

» Dedicated meeting room for Lab use.

» Membership to The Drawing Room, a 1,500 square foot members lounge overlooking Old Street.

The Drugstore Retail Lab does not take equity from its members. The only cost is for the desk space.

 

WHO CAN APPLY & WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Any early stage business with a retail focus can apply, although we expect you to have a working prototype of your product and evidence that there is a market for it. Preference will be given to scalable solutions or those with a clear differentiator from existing market players.

We are looking for a mix of businesses to make a community. This means you could have a product to sell to retailers or are a retailer in the making. Start-up types could include, but not limited to:

» E-commerce

» Point of sale

» Peer to peer marketplaces

» Smart voucher systems

» Location-based retail

» Loyalty programmes

» Factory-to-consumer

» JIT stock management

Overseas applicants are welcome, however, members must have a registered UK trading company and use the Lab as their primary base of operations.

About The Trampery

The Trampery is a specialist in strategy, design and management for innovation facilities; founded by sociologist and entrepreneur Charles Armstrong. Since opening Tech City’s first start-up workspace in 2009 The Trampery has developed seven acclaimed buildings in London and launched a string of sector-focused incubators spanning software, fashion, digital arts and travel.

In 2015 The Trampery was appointed by the Norwegian government to undertake its first urban planning project, master-planning a new innovation district for the city of Oslo.
